SEATTLE, WA - Las Vegas' magic number to clinch the 4 seed in the 2024 WNBA Playoffs is down to 1 following last night's win over Connecticut. That means that any combination of 1 Aces victory or 1 Seattle loss would guarantee Las Vegas would host the First Round of the postseason. The Aces also have a chance to secure the 3 seed. Trio of Trash Pandas Headed to Triple-A Salt Lake
MADISON, ALABAMA - The Los Angeles Angels have transferred right-handed pitcher Brett Kerry, left-handed pitcher Houston Harding and outfielder Orlando Martinez to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. All three players have played for Triple-A Salt Lake in the past. Additionally, catcher Ronaldo Flores has been reinstated from the development list and unconditionally released. Kerry began his season with the Trash Pandas and after two appearances, he was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on April 19. Frontier League: The independent Frontier League announced it will place an expansion team at Trustmark Park in Pearl (MS), a suburb of Jackson, for the 2025 season. The ballpark has been home to the affiliated Double-A Southern League's Mississippi Braves since 2005 but that team is relocating to become the Columbus (GA) Clingstones for next season.
