Oil Kings Sign Defenceman Jager Gugyelka

WHL Edmonton Oil Kings January 27, 2023 - Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings have signed 2007-born defenceman Jager Gugyelka (pronounced: Jay-gur Goo-gel-kah) to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the team announced today. "We would like to officially welcome Jager to the Oil Kings," said Oil Kings Director of Scouting Michael Chan. "Jager is a competitive young player who plays a committed game at both ends of the ice." Gugyelka, 16, was drafted by the Oil Kings in the 10th round, 219th overall, at the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. WHL Winnipeg Ice January 27, 2023 - The Winnipeg ICE have recalled defenceman Chase Bambrick from the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Alberta Elite U18 Hockey League and goaltender Noah Stenvig from the Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep Team of the Canadian Sport School U18 Hockey League. Warriors Well Rested After Busy Stretch

WHL Moose Jaw Warriors January 27, 2023 - This week was the first without a midweek game for the Warriors since returning from the Christmas break. The team played 11 games in a span of 18 days to start 2023, winning six and collecting points in all but two games during that stretch. T-Birds Sign Fifth Player from 2022 WHL Prospects Draft

WHL Seattle Thunderbirds January 26, 2023 - KENT - The Seattle Thunderbirds have announced forward Samuel Charko has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the team. Charko, from Whitecourt, Alberta, was selected by the T-Birds in the ninth round, 192nd overall, in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
