Former Hawks Battle for College Title

March 22, 2018 - Waterloo, Iowa - More than two dozen former Waterloo Black Hawks still have the chance to win the 2018 NCAA Division I Hockey Championship as the top schools from across the country take the ice to begin national tournament play this weekend. At least one Waterloo alumnus could take the ice for 14 out of the 16 teams in the field. Two programs - Minnesota-Duluth and Ohio State - each have four Hawks apiece on their roster. March 21, 2018 - Waterloo, Ia. - It's an all-Iowa weekend for the Waterloo Black Hawks. Friday, the Hawks play one of just three remaining regular season road games while visiting Mystique Ice Center against the Dubuque Fighting Saints (7:05 p.m.). Waterloo has played two low-scoring games in that building this season, winning 2-0 on October 13th and 3-2 in a shootout November 22nd. Finkelstein Keeps on Cruising

March 19, 2018 - Waterloo, Iowa - A standout weekend has made Waterloo Black Hawks defenseman Ben Finkelstein the first non-goaltender to win three United States Hockey League player of the week awards. The USHL announced Monday that Finkelstein is its Defenseman of the Week for the second week in a row and for the third time since the closing days of January. March 17, 2018 - Saturday night's 6-4 Waterloo Black Hawks win against the U.S. National Team Development Program Under-17s at Young Arena moved the home team into sole control of first place in the United States Hockey League Western Conference. Waterloo had started the night tied with the Omaha Lancers at 66 standings points. Omaha was idle Saturday.
