April 19, 2024 - North Carolina FC defeated MLS NEXT Pro side Carolina Core FC 1-0 in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in front of 1,112 fans at WakeMed Soccer Park Wednesday evening. North Carolina FC recorded its first win in U.S. Open Cup play since 2019 thanks partly to goalkeeper Antonio Carrera who turned in his first clean sheet for the club. April 18, 2024 - CARY, N.C. - North Carolina FC has been drawn to host Phoenix Rising FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32, U.S. Soccer announced Thursday. The derby of 2023 USL champions will take place on Wednesday, May 8, with a 7 p.m. ET kickoff at WakeMed Soccer Park. April 17, 2024 - CARY, N.C. - North Carolina FC advanced to the Round of 32 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a 1-0 win over Carolina Core FC in third round play Wednesday night at WakeMed Soccer Park. Julian Placias' second half goal was the difference in the clean sheet win. The home side finished the night with a 15-4 edge in shots, including an 8-0 advantage in shots on target.
