LumberKings Announce New General Manager
February 10, 2024 - CLINTON, Iowa - The Clinton Baseball Club have named Nate Vander Bleek as their new general manager for their fourth season in the Prospect League and their 88th season as a baseball organization on Saturday. Vander Bleek is the fifteenth general manager in the organization's history since 1956. December 28, 2023 - CLINTON, IOWA - Clinton LumberKings General Manager Ted Tornow announced his resignation, effective January 15, 2024. Tornow started in November of 1998 and had served as General Manager for the past 25 seasons, the longest in the club's 87-year history. "This was a difficult decision to make. December 5, 2023 - CLINTON, Iowa - In a league-wide votes among all 18 Prospect League teams, the Clinton LumberKings have been recognized as the 2023 Prospect League Organization of the Year. The LumberKings have been members of the Prospect League since 2021 and have led the league in attendance each year. December 5, 2023 - CLINTON, Iowa - Former Clinton manager, Jim Leyland was voted into the Hall of Fame by the Contemporary Baseball Era Non-Players Committee on Sunday. Jim Leyland managed the Clinton Pilots, a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, from 1971-72 and 1975. Leyland is the first member of any Clinton team to enter Cooperstown.
