Bison Fall In Encore Meeting Against Iowa

December 21, 2024 - Coralville, Iowa - The Bloomington Bison allowed four first period goals in a 6-1 loss to the Iowa Heartlanders on Saturday night at Xtream Arena. Within 1:12, the Heartlanders burst open the scoring to grab a 3-0 lead with the first tally coming at 8:23 from Chris Lype. His first of the season was assisted by Jules Boscq and Nico Blachman. Yuki Miura added to the lead with his sixth of the year from Will Calverley and Jonny Sorenson. The third goal was tallied by Dakota Raabe from T.J. Walsh for this seventh of the year.... Full Story

Bison Claim Forward Mitch Walinski

December 21, 2024 - Bloomington Ill. - Bloomington Bison General Manager and Head Coach Phillip Barski, announced today the team has claimed forward Mitch Walinski off waivers. Walinski, 26, began the season skating in the ECHL with Adirondack Thunder for four games accumulating two penalty minutes. The Lincoln, Rhode Island native appeared in 49 games with the Atlanta Gladiators last season posting 11 points (seven goals, four assists) with 32 penalty minutes. December 20, 2024 - Bloomington Ill. - The Bloomington Bison set a team record for most goals scored in a period with a four-goal first against the Iowa Heartlanders. The Bison's early lead helped them claim a 5-2 win. The Bison didn't waste time in the opening frame as Andrei Bakanov scored on a wrist shot at 5:11. His third of the season was assisted by Chongmin Lee and Eddie Matsushima. Sinclair Shines, Bison End Losing Skid

December 18, 2024 - Fishers, Ind. - Goaltender Mark Sinclair stopped 26 shots as the Bloomington Bison snapped their losing streak with a 3-1 victory against the Indy Fuel on Wednesday night at Fishers Event Center. The teams skated through a scoreless first period that only saw one infraction against the Bison. Each team fired five shots on net.
