Dallas Stars Recall Defenseman Lian Bichsel from Texas Stars

AHL Texas Stars FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today the NHL club recalled defenseman Lian Bichsel from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Bichsel, 20, has recorded nine points (3-6=9) in 21 games this season for Texas, with 28 penalty minutes and 25 shots on goal. ECHL Idaho Steelheads BOISE, ID - The Idaho Steelheads (12-9-1-0, 25pts) defeated the Tulsa Oilers (12-8-1-0, 24pts) Wednesday night by a final score of 6-4 in front of 5,235 fans at the Idaho Central Arena, the 44th consecutive regular season sell-out. Idaho and Tulsa will meet Friday and Saturday at 7:10 p.m. Idaho and Tulsa were all square at 2-2 through 20 minutes of play. Strong Second Period Sends Amerks Past Rocket

AHL Rochester Americans (Laval, Quebec) - After allowing the Laval Rocket (15-7-1-1) to score the first goal, the Rochester Americans (13-8-3-0) countered back with three straight unanswered goals in the second period to earn a 3-1 victory Wednesday at Place Bell. With the win, Rochester has earned at least one point in 15 of its last 20 games dating back to Oct. 23, which also includes two road wins in Laval over that span. AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Boris Katchouk led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with a four-goal game as the team raced past the Charlotte Checkers, 6-4, at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza on Wednesday night. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-6-1-0) scored five times in the third period to rally past their division rival.
